Arribenos Move on to Serie Eliminatoria
The Utuado Arribenos are one step closer to winning the Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño.

With a series-clinching 4-0 win tonight at Coliseo Paulino Soto, the Arribenos have eliminated the Corozal Mofongueros in the Serie Preliminar by a score of 3-1.

"I'm excited for the Serie Eliminatoria. We'll celebrate this one for a short time, but then it's back to business," said Plácido Polanco, who was dominant on the mound and earned Serie Preliminar MVP honors. "One step closer, one game at a time. We can't get ahead of ourselves."

Polanco had a 0.50 ERA over 18 innings pitched in the series. He also added 10 strikeouts with a 2-0 record.

The Utuado Arribenos will play against the Mayaguez Capitanes in the next round. Mayaguez won their series against the Carolina Tumbabrazos 3 games to 1. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
