Nayarit Wins Serie Preliminar
Parque de los Mariachis played host to the climax of an exciting Serie Preliminar tonight.

The Nayarit Mariachis and Coahuila Carboneros battled hard throughout the whole series, for the chance to move on to the Serie Eliminatoria.

In the end, Nayarit won the final game by a score of 1-0 and took the series 3-2.

"I think fans got their money's worth in this series. It was just great baseball all the way around," said Mariachis starting pitcher Emanuel Ruiz, who earned the nod as series MVP. "Nayarit fans especially, I'm sure they're all worked up right now."

For the series, Ruiz had a 0.00 ERA over 17 innings pitched. He added 5 strikeouts with a 1-0 record.
