Strikers Take 2-1 Lead with 5-1 Win
The Winnipeg Strikers got a strong performance from pitcher Roberto Rosado, who stymied the visiting Steinbach Mennonites en route to a win, 5-1, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. The Mennonites could never get a bead on the right-handed Rosado, who threw 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The Strikers now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Winnipeg starter Roberto Rosado was exceptional. The 179 cm right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8.2 innings of work.

"Roberto just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Winnipeg manager Eduardo Rubio.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Winnipeg Grounds in Winnipeg.
