Maricao Takes Serie Eliminatoria in Deciding Game
To the chagrin of fans everywhere, Liga Betances Serie Eliminatoria had to end eventually.

But pushed to the final game, it was the Maricao Cafeteros coming out on top of the Aguas Buenas Mulos in the classic series. Maricao won the final game by a score of 5-2 and took the series 3-2.

"The final game of the series is tough on the nerves whether you're a fan or a player," said Maricao right-hander Adán Martínez. "I think we did a good job of controlling our nerves and doing the job necessary to win."

Martínez was named series MVP, as he put up a 1.00 ERA over 18 innings pitched. He added 3 strikeouts with a 2-0 record.

The Maricao Cafeteros will play against the Patillas Cuervos in the next round. Patillas won their series against the Salinas Pescadores 3 games to 0. The Serie Interdivisional schedule will be announced after the Serie Eliminatoria finishes.
