Naguabo Advances to Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño
The Campeonato de las Ligas didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.

But the Naguabo Navegadores are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Patillas Cuervos 4-2 to advance to the Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño.

"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Navegadores left fielder Jake Gettman. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."

Naguabo won the final game by a score of 3-2 at La Timonera.

Gettman was named series MVP after hitting .304 with a .360 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Naguabo Navegadores will play against the Mayaguez Capitanes in the next round. Mayaguez won their series against the Toa Baja Jinetes 4 games to 1. The Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño schedule will be announced after the Campeonato de las Ligas finishes.
