Pericos Advance to Campeonato Nacional de Cuba
The Holguin Pericos out-dueled and outgunned the Bayamo Rafagas in the Campeonato de las Ligas and are on to the next round.

Holguin won the final game 5-4 at Recinto Deportivo de Holguin and the series 4-1.

Diego Arroliga was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Campeonato de las Ligas. He had a .409 average with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the Campeonato Nacional de Cuba," he said.

The Holguin Pericos will play against the Matanzas Henequeneros in the next round. Matanzas won their series against the San Antonio de los Banos Comediantes 4 games to 0. The Campeonato Nacional de Cuba schedule will be announced after the Campeonato de las Ligas finishes.
