Behind the bravura of first baseman Enda Hill, the Barranquitas Ilustres topped the Ponce Senores by the score of 7-3. Hill was 2 for 2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for the Ilustres. After today's action, Barranquitas sits at 31-33, while Ponce falls to 40-22.

There was more than one reason the Ilustres beat the Senores, but Hill's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

Ilustres manager Honesto Vásquez praised Hill after the game. "I keep telling everyone," he said, "'Don't go to sleep on this kid.'"
