Cornupetas Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Aibonito Frios got a sterling performance from pitcher Raúl Flores, but the Cayey Cornupetas still prevailed, 5-4. Flores threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The 'W' lifts Cayey's record to 29-34.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, an error by the Frios allowed the Cornupetas to score the winning run.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Foley said.
