Culebra right-hander Miqueas Álvarez pitched his team to victory over the Isabela Quesiteros at Estadio Municipal de Isabela. The final score was 2-0. Premislao Soriano, who is a two-time All-Star, nailed down the save. The second-place Tortugas bumped their record to 28-33.
Early in the game, designated hitter Chonlawit Narongchai had a run-scoring double for Culebra. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Tortugas on top, 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Narongchai said.
