Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Guiristas beat the Metropolitanos.

The Penuelas Guiristas defeated the San Juan Metropolitanos, 9-1, in Liga Betances action at Coliseo Armando Vargas. Ernesto Hernández pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran was 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Guiristas go to 28-36, putting them third in the Liga Betances Sur.

The Guiristas took the lead, 5-1, in the bottom of the third inning. Facing San Juan hurler Urías Macancela with two outs, Zoilo Navarro hit a 2-run single.
