Esqueletos Pin 4-1 Loss on Anasco
|
Vieques pitcher Anastasio Cordero did his part in helping his team beat the Anasco Matadioses, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Cordero, now 6-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The third-place Esqueletos improved to 29-36.
The fans who came to support the Esqueletos were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at La Necrópolis.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Vieques manager Leo Rosales.
