Brillantes Suffer 6-2 Setback
|
The first-place Juana Diaz Reyes picked up another win.
The Juana Diaz Reyes beat the Naranjito Brillantes, 6-2, at Coliseo Adrián Burnías. Juana Diaz third baseman Rob Feaster, who finished 4th in the LB in runs with 105 in 1904, collected 1 single and 2 doubles with 2 RBI. Napoleón Pérez, the winner, improved to 9-2. He held the Brillantes to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
With Juana Diaz leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Feaster hit a sinker from Armando Gutiérrez for a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Reyes ahead, 3-0.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Reyes manager Francisco Ramos, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
