Coliseo Nicolás Pedraza was the site for Liga Hostos action featuring the Sabana Grande Tejedores and Cayey Cornupetas.

Cornupetas second baseman Rafael Cabrera left his mark on his team's 7-5 win over the Sabana Grande Tejedores. Cabrera, who finished 5th in the LH in hits with 204 in 1904, went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Cayey in the contest. Craig McGaughey got the win, improving to 6-5. He held the Tejedores to 5 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 5.

Cabrera had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Rafael Porras, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Cornupetas a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Cabrera.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Cabrera said.

With the win, Cayey upped its record to 35-28.
