In a tight contest between the Santa Isabel Corceles and the Lajas Marcianos, Víctor Manuel Ortiz was the determining factor. The Santa Isabel left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Santa Isabel now sits at 29-40, while Lajas falls to 27-44.
Dennis Goudie was the walk-off hero for Santa Isabel. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Corceles second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Goudie said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
