The Coamo Termales got a superb performance from pitcher Ewan Mackenzie, but the Hatillo Canarios still won the game, 5-4. Mackenzie threw 10.0 innings allowing 4 runs. Hatillo reliever Roberto Gaitán picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Roberto Navarrete took the loss. Hatillo is now 28-40, while Coamo is 28-41.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Hatillo. That's when Guillermo Loredo hit a solo home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Roberto Navarrete to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Loredo told a Hatillo Herald reporter that he felt "euphoric" after the win.
