Arroyo Triumphs with Late Surge
The Arroyo Telegrafistas defeated the Comerio Guabaleros, 6-4, in part because of third baseman Sebastián Vásquez. Vásquez went 3 for 4 with 2 triples. He drove in 4 runs for the Telegrafistas. Alcides Camacho picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-4 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 4 in 8 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Picking up his 3rd save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Guarionex Cruz.

Arroyo took a 6-4 lead on Vásquez's 8th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which he hit off Stewart Thomas in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Arroyo to the win.

"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager Leovigildo Medina.

Arroyo is now 41-36, while Comerio is 34-41.
