Rebeldes 6-3 Victors Over Guiristas

The skies opened up and the rain fell at Coliseo Armando Vargas.
The Moca Rebeldes picked up a win at Coliseo Armando Vargas, knocking off the Penuelas Guiristas, 6-3. On the mound for Moca was right-hander Samuel Martínez. He played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Martínez. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Basilio Gallegos. Alrigo Chávez picked up his 1st save of the season.
The Rebeldes got a big at-bat from first baseman Jorge Cano. For the game, Cano went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Moca a 2-0 lead.
"Samuel has got a slow heartbeat," said Moca manager Cresencio Palma. "He doesn't panic or anything."
The loss drops the Guiristas to 4-6.
