Aguada first baseman Florencio Perea contributed significantly to his team's 9-8 win over the Penuelas Guiristas. Perea, who finished 2nd in the LB in doubles with 42 in 1912, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Arzobispos. Nicodemo Ceja earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The loss drops Penuelas to 8-2.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Perea delivered big-time for Aguada, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Gustavo Dávalos. The game-changing hit put the Arzobispos on top, 9-8.

"Been a pretty good stretch for me, hitting-wise," said Perea.
