Telegrafistas Lose Versus Patillas, 6-2
|
Conditions were not ideal but Patillas and Arroyo were able to put their game in the books.
The Patillas Cuervos got a stellar effort from pitcher Pablo García, helping Patillas score a win over the visiting Arroyo Telegrafistas, 6-2. The winning pitcher was García, now 13-3. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4.
The Cuervos got a big hit from catcher Gareth Elliott. Facing Arroyo pitcher Casiodoro Torres in the bottom of the sixth, Elliott pounded a 2-run double to left. His 5th double of the season put the Cuervos ahead, 5-2.
"We're movin' and groovin' right now," said Elliott.
Patillas, at 71-26, sits in first place in the Liga Betances Sureste.
