Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Naranjito Brillantes and Gurabo Tainos.
The Gurabo Tainos wasted an inspired, 9-inning effort from starter Faustino Aragón, falling, 2-1, to the Naranjito Brillantes at Coliseo Municipal de Gurabo. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Noah Hewitt.
Guillermo Bravo came through for Naranjito when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike slider to right-center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Bravo.
Naranjito goes to 30-50, Gurabo to 48-27.
