The Trujillo Alto Macabeos eked out a 3-2 win versus the Caguas Coquis at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo. Nobody did more than pitcher Germán Bencosme. He was terrific. The Macabeos now have a record of 26-52 with the win over Caguas.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Trujillo Alto trailing 2-1, Bowen Simpson delivered the decisive blow, stroking a changeup from Venancio Torres for a 2-run double. Ballgame.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Simpson.
