Lobos Pick Up 4-3 Win Over Morovis
The Arecibo Lobos topped the Morovis Sanisalvos, 4-3, in Liga Betances action at Estadio de Morovis. The standout performance belonged to Arecibo pitcher and Villalba, Puerto Rico, native David Marrero. In 9 innings, Marrero surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. The win makes Arecibo 45-34.

Tied up with the Sanisalvos in the top of the fifth inning, the Lobos got a boost from third baseman Julio Cruz. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Cruz saw a 3-1 sinker from Orlando Ramos and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Arecibo on top, 4-3.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Marrero.
