Comerio and Aguas Buenas scratched and clawed until someone claimed the prize.
The Comerio Guabaleros picked up a win at Coliseo Miguel Chávez, taking down the Aguas Buenas Mulos, 1-0, in 13 innings. On the mound for Comerio was left-hander Fatmir Sulaj. He played a central role in the triumph. With this game in the books, Comerio is 32-49, Aguas Buenas 45-36.
Though he did not get the decision, Sulaj did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 9.2 innings, until Comerio eventually rallied past the Mulos.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Sulaj. "Successful pitchers do it."
