People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.

The Ponce Senores scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Guayama Hechiceros at Estadio Radamés Martínez. Ponce pitcher Samuel Vásquez held his own in the contest. The Senores move to 43-39 with the win, while the Hechiceros drop to 29-53.

The Senores got a clutch hit from second baseman Ignacio Jaramillo. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Senores.

"Exciting game to play in," said Vásquez. "Getting the win makes it even better."
