The rain came, as predicted, but the Camuy Murcielagos and Yauco Corsos were able to complete their ballgame.

The Camuy Murcielagos defeated the Yauco Corsos, 8-4, in Liga Betances action at Coliseo Aldo Gallardo. Camuy pitcher Bob Pitcher had a standout performance. Camuy currently is in second place in the Liga Betances Norte at 54-31.

The Murcielagos got a big hit from designated hitter Mario Franco. Facing Yauco pitcher Tarasio Martínez in the top of the sixth, Franco pounded a 2-run triple to right. His 3rd triple of the season put the Murcielagos ahead, 6-3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Franco.
