In a tight contest at Coliseo Homero Contreras, the Lares Fieles edged the Morovis Sanisalvos by the score of 5-4. Lares right fielder Hefesto Muñoz, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. Quilvio Mateo earned his 12th save in 14 chances. With the win, Lares has a record of 42-46. Morovis falls to 49-42.

Muñoz had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 splitter from Juvenal Calvario, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Fieles a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Muñoz.

Muñoz told the Lares Daily: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
