|
Penuelas Guiristas starter Scott Peterson pitched a strong game against the Aguada Arzobispos at Estadio Municipal de Aguada, leading the Guiristas to victory, 3-1. Peterson, now 11-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. The first-place Guiristas are 52-39.
Penuelas used a timely hit from Itbir Jaafar to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guiristas ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Peterson, "and let the rest take care of itself."
