Frios Grind Out 2-1 Win
The Cayey Cornupetas and Aibonito Frios provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a low-scoring contest between the Aibonito Frios and the Cayey Cornupetas, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Celestino López proved to be the difference. The Aibonito right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Frios win. Urso Ramírez got the save, his 12th in 16 chances.

In the top of the 6th, second baseman José Regalado gave Aibonito the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Frios had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Cayey pitcher Manuel Gálvez changed that -- and Aibonito went on to win.

"I liked his command," said Aibonito manager Rigoberto Huante. "Celestino was throwing strikes."

The Frios saw their record improve to 45-54.
