Lobos Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
|
Estadio Municipal de Arecibo was host to some intense drama.
The Juncos Valencianos went down to defeat to Samuel Andrade and his Arecibo teammates. The final score was 3-2, Lobos, in 10 innings. Esteban Rolón, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.
The Lobos procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Ramiro Martín. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Exhilarating win," said Martín.
The second-place Lobos have won 5 in a row.
