Dulceros Use Late Rally to Win
Propercio Jiménez pitched well, but the Rincon Ingenieros still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Yabucoa Dulceros at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas. Raúl Flores, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 0 and walking 4. With the win, Yabucoa pushed its record to 56-50.

Yabucoa used the timely hitting of Barnabas Tegene to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dulceros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Tegene attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
