Fieles Get Clutch Win Versus Arroyo
Arroyo got a big-time effort from pitcher Cosme Méndez, but it wasn't enough to keep the Lares Fieles from winning the game, 3-2. Méndez threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. The Fieles improved their record to 42-62 with the win over Arroyo.

Martín Martín provided a timely hit. The Lares catcher delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fieles on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We take it day by day here," said Martín, "and today was a good one for us."
