The first-place Naguabo Navegadores took on the Ciales Galanes in front of a spirited crowd.
The Naguabo Navegadores picked up a win at La Timonera, knocking off the Ciales Galanes, 6-1. Starting pitcher Aniceto La Chataigneraie was a big reason why. In 7.1 innings, La Chataigneraie surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run.
The Navegadores got a big at-bat from first baseman Min-soo Kim. For the game, Kim went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 22nd double of the season gave Naguabo a 3-0 lead.
"Nice win for us," said Kim. "Now we'll go after the next one."
The Navegadores lead the Liga Betances Noreste by 20 games.
