Downward Spiral Continues for Trujillo Alto
Fernando López, who finished 3rd in the LH in ERA with 1.72 in 1908, was locked in. The right-hander led the Corozal Mofongueros to a 4-2 win against the Trujillo Alto Macabeos at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo. Picking up his 15th save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Aureliano Santa. The first-place Mofongueros now sit at 67-43.

Aureliano Santa got a big out in the bottom of the ninth. The Macabeos were trailing 4-2, but Trujillo Alto had a runner on 1st with one out. Santa threw a 1-0 fastball to Enrique Martínez, who hit into a double play.
