The Villalba Mercaderes electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

The Villalba Mercaderes wiggled past the Ponce Senores, 4-3, at Estadio Hernán Ríos. The win was highlighted by the performance of Villalba pitcher Gustavo Sandoval. After today's action, Villalba sits at 44-67; Ponce slips to 73-40.

The Mercaderes got a clutch hit from catcher Pandolfo Urive. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Mercaderes.

"Gustavo kind of went out and dug down and got some outs when he needed to," said Villalba manager John Dolan.
