Tumbabrazos Lose Versus Barranquitas, 4-3
|
The umbrellas came out during the Barranquitas-Carolina contest at Estadio de los Ilustres.
The Barranquitas Ilustres beat the Carolina Tumbabrazos, 4-3. Barranquitas pitcher and Utuado, Puerto Rico, native Faustino Aragón led the way. Earning his 4th save of the year was Sandalio Rocha.
Sebastián Cobos provided some late-game heroics for Barranquitas. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 0-1 sinker from Constantino Vázquez and propelled Barranquitas to a 4-3 lead.
"Good win for us," said Cobos. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
The Ilustres go to 48-61, putting them second in the Liga Hostos Cordillera Este.
