Estadio de Jayuya was the site of a tense game between the Jayuya Cerros and Humacao Milagrosos.

The Humacao Milagrosos did just enough to secure a victory over the Jayuya Cerros, 3-2, in 12 innings at Estadio de Jayuya. Nobody did more than pitcher Basilio Alvarado. Humacao pitcher Pablo Lizárraga got the win. He's now 1-1. Mercuriano Guerrero was tagged with the loss.

The result might have been different for Humacao, had it not been for Aldo Zúñiga, the 23-year old first baseman . Zúñiga stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Humacao up, 3-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 3 singles in 6 at-bats.

"That's baseball," said Jayuya manager Luis Torres. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."

The loss makes Jayuya 41-68.
