Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Acropolitanos
The Manati Acropolitanos picked up a win at Recinto Municipal Lola Rodríguez de Tió, taking down the San German Golondrinas, 4-3. Starting pitcher Raúl Rivera was a big reason why. In 9 innings, Rivera surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 5. He allowed 3 runs. Their 52-57 record puts the Acropolitanos third in the Liga Hostos Norte.

Manati used the timely hitting of Dunnagh Oliver to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Acropolitanos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
