The first-place Guanica Amigos took on the Cayey Cornupetas in front of a spirited crowd.
Getting a good performance from shortstop Cameron McMillan, the Guanica Amigos defeated the Cayey Cornupetas, 12-5. McMillan went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Amigos. Raúl Marín got the win, improving to 19-8. He held the Cornupetas to 2 runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2.
A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the first. That's when McMillan hit a sinker from Américo Prats for a 2-run single, putting Guanica up, 5-0.
McMillan told a Guanica News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Guanica goes to 66-49, Cayey to 60-54.
