Sabana Grande Drops Another One, 5-3
|
Sabana Grande wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jorge González, falling to the Manati Acropolitanos, 5-3. González threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The Acropolitanos saw their record improve to 53-63.
Manati got a big at-bat from Kingston, Jamaica native John Edwards, who in the bottom of the third hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Acropolitanos ahead, 5-0.
"I've never been a good loser," admitted losing manager Gamaliel Torres, before walking out on reporters.
