Late Offense Lifts Cidra to 8-7 Victory
Estadio Juan Gil played host to some exciting baseball.

The Cidra Palomas besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Ceiba center fielder Alberto Torres by beating the Picudos, 8-7, at Estadio Juan Gil. Torres was 3-5 with 2 triples, while scoring 3. Cleto Jiménez was the winner. He's now 15-10. The loser was 28-year old left-handed pitcher Antenor Kino.

Rafael Mangual was the walk-off hero for Cidra. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Palomas second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd flipped out," Mangual said.

Cidra bumps their record to 71-47 with the win.
