Maunabo starter Harland Wadden pitched well against the Comerio Guabaleros at Estadio Tomás Morel. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The Artilleros, at 65-51, sit in second place in the Liga Betances Sureste.

Maunabo used the timely hitting of Florián Baca to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Artilleros on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

After the game, Baca refused to speak to a reporter for the Maunabo Chronicle. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
