Another game, another loss for the struggling Las Marias Citricos.

The Santa Isabel Corceles rode a solid performance from 22-year-old starting pitcher Efraín Herrera to a win, beating the Las Marias Citricos, 7-1, at El Naranjal. The loss makes Las Marias 55-63.

Santa Isabel second baseman Declan Mottram contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 95th hit of the season and put the Corceles ahead, 4-1.

"Efraín did a nice job," said Corceles manager Luis Mejía.
