Trujillo Alto right fielder Flannan Smith had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-4, to Fajardo at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo. Smith went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. At 71-47, the Insolentes claim first place in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.

Casiodoro Delgado provided a timely hit. The Fajardo designated hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Insolentes on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
