Martilleros Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Vega Alta Martilleros snuck past the Ciales Galanes, 3-2, in 11 innings. Vega Alta pitcher Santiago Ávalos, in particular, had a standout performance. The Martilleros, at 59-61, have now won 5 straight.

The Martilleros relied on second baseman Salesi Alaula for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Ávalos.
