Patillas Cuervos starter René Calva pitched well against the Maunabo Artilleros at Recinto Atlético del Sureste, leading his team to a win, 2-1. The 'W' lifts Patillas's record to 69-52.

In the top of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Patillas third baseman Kwame Mafole hit a run-scoring single. It broke the deadlock and put Patillas on top, 2-1.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Mafole.
