Late Offense Lifts Lajas to 3-2 Victory
Héctor Gutiérrez pitched well, but the Maricao Cafeteros still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Lajas Marcianos at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas. The first-place Cafeteros dropped to 72-54.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Lajas left fielder Diego Crez had a chance to be the hero. Facing Maricao pitcher Héctor Gutiérrez with a runner on 1st, Crez hit a run-scoring single.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Crez said.
