The Yabucoa Dulceros and Las Piedras Menestrales completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Las Piedras got a decent performance from pitcher Andrew Patterson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Yabucoa Dulceros. Yabucoa won the Coliseo Jorge Olivares contest, 6-3. Patterson threw 8.1 innings allowing 6 runs for the losing team. The winner was Víctor Molina, who threw 96 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits.

Menandro Parga had a big 2-run home run for the Dulceros in the top of the second inning. With Yabucoa leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Andrew Patterson, who is tied for 10th in the LH in strikeouts with 156, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Dulceros on top, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Parga.

The second-place Menestrales now sit at 64-63.
