Yauco turned a fine outing from starter Santiago Ayala into a victory over the Arecibo Lobos at Estadio Municipal de Arecibo. The final score was 3-2. Yauco occupies second place in the Liga Betances Sur at 64-64.

The Corsos capitalized on an error in the top of the fourth inning. Yauco was leading 2-1 when Valeriano Cardoso hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Yauco in front, 3-1.

Cardoso called the win "good for the psyche of this team."
