Maricao pitcher Miguel Escobar had a large part in his team beating the Aguadilla Colmillos, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the win over Aguadilla, the Cafeteros improved to 73-54.

The Cafeteros got a big at-bat from third baseman Ramón Serrapiñana. For the game, Serrapiñana went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Maricao a 4-2 lead.

"I still think this team can play even better," Serrapiñana told the Maricao Chronicle.
