It wasn't easy but the Vieques Esqueletos made it look that way.

Starter Anastasio Cordero shut out the Guanica Amigos despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Vieques Esqueletos cruised to victory, 2-0. Cordero allowed only 4 hits and rang up 1 strikeout but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

In 4 starts this season, Cordero has rung up a 2-3 record and a 1.80 ERA.
